The bhut jolokia also known as ghost chili, is an inter specific hybrid chili pepper cultivated in the Indian states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland and Manipur.[1][2] It is an interspecies hybrid of C. chinense and C. frutescens genes.[3] In 2007, Guinness World Records certified that the ghost pepper was the world's hottest chili pepper, 401.5 times hotter than Tabasco sauce; the ghost chili is rated at more than 1 million Scoville heat units (SHUs).

The Habanero is a variety of chili pepper. When used in English, it is sometimes spelled (and pronounced) habañero,[1] the tilde being added as a hyperforeignism (patterned after jalapeño). Unripe habaneros are green, and they color as they mature. Common colors are orange and red, but white, brown, yellow, and pink are also seen. Typically, a ripe habanero chili is 2–6 cm (0.8–2.4 in) long. Habanero chilis are very hot, rated 100,000 - 350,000 on the Scoville Scale.

The Scoville rating of the serrano pepper is 10,000 to 25,000.[3] They are typically eaten raw and have a bright and biting flavor that is notably hotter than the jalapeño pepper. The tabasco pepper is a variety of chili pepper species Capsicum frutescens with its origins in Mexico. It is best known through its use in Tabasco sauce, followed by peppered vinegar. Like all C. frutescens cultivars, the tabasco plant has a typical bushy growth, which commercial cultivation makes stronger by trimming the plants. The Hungarian wax pepper is a medium variety of Capsicum annuum with a wide Scoville Scale range of 1,000 to 15,000 Scoville units. This pepper is usually harvested before maturity when still yellow. It measures between 4"-6" inches in length (102mm-152mm) which tapers to a rounded point. Upon maturity, the pepper becomes orange then red in color. Although similar in appearance to banana peppers when immature, it is a different cultivar.

It is of mild to medium pungency, 1,000 and 20,000 Scoville units in general.
